From November 14th to 19th a delegation of 15 students from years 9, 10 and 11 flew to Munich to participate in the 19thannual session of the Model United Nations of Munich with the motto ‘‘Pursuing a cooperative future to ensure democracy is upheld in this time of threat’’. In ten committees more than 350 delegates from 17 European schools discussed important issues ranging from dismantling nuclear arms, aiding refugees affected by the Russo-Ukrainian conflict to combating plastic pollution. The students of DSG represented the delegations of Lithuania, Romania and Spain, contributing position papers and resolutions, found co-submitters, and represented their respective countries during the debates. Ambassadors Fabiola, Ginevra and Zoe (year 11) gave their opening speeches in the main conference hall at Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung in front of an audience of more than 400. Besides working hard in their committees they also enjoyed making friends from various European schools, for example at the dance party, and to get to know Munich.
